Trip Tracking
Introduction
The Journey interface is dedicated to displaying and managing vehicle movements over a given period. It allows users to precisely visualize the journeys made by each vehicle, with a clear and intuitive representation on the map.
Viewing Journeys
- Trip Display: By selecting a vehicle and a specific date, the interface displays all the trips made during this period. Each trip corresponds to a journey that the vehicle made between each start and stop.
- Selecting a Specific Route: To view a specific journey, simply click on the icon located to the right of each record in the table. The route is then generated on the map, making it easier to analyze the vehicle's movements.
Play Mode with Control
The interface offers a dynamic journey reading mode:
- Play/Pause mode: You can start viewing the vehicle's route on the map using an interactive reading mode, allowing you to see the route in real time.
- Speed Setting: It is possible to adjust the playback speed to speed up or slow down the visualization of journeys, which allows you to analyze the movement of the vehicle according to your needs.
- Break: Playback can be paused at any time to observe a particular point in the journey.
Mapping Features
The Journey interface includes several visualization options on the map:
- Fullscreen: You can switch the map to full screen mode for a better overview of the route traveled.
- Satellite View: The interface also allows you to switch to modesatelliteto view journeys in a more realistic environment.
- Zoom: The zoom features (via the + and - buttons or using the mouse wheel) allow you to enlarge or reduce the map to examine routes in more or less detail.
Filtering Table
Below the map, a table offers advanced filtering options:
- Vehicle and Date Selection: By selecting a vehicle and a date, you can display only trips matching these criteria.
- Trip Filtering: The table lists the journeys with clear information on start and stop times, as well as the distance traveled. It allows quick navigation between the different journeys made during the selected period.
Viewing Journeys
The functionalityViewing Journeysallows you to display and analyze the routes taken by vehicles over a specific period. With this feature, you can track the detailed movements of each vehicle by selecting a specific date, thus facilitating fleet management and analysis of journeys taken.
Dynamic Trip Display
- Viewing on the Map: Trips are displayed on an interactive map as soon as you select a vehicle and a date. Each journey represents a segment traveled by the vehicle between starting and stopping, allowing you to follow its journey step by step.
- Multiple Journeys: If a vehicle has made several trips during the day, all these trips are listed and viewable on the map, providing a complete view of the trips.
Selecting a Specific Route
- Selection Icon: To view a particular journey among the multiple journeys displayed, simply click on the icon located to the right of each record in the table. This simple click generates the path of the route on the map, allowing you to focus on a specific trip.
- Detail display by trip: By selecting a route, you can see the start and end points clearly marked on the map, as well as the path the vehicle has taken.
Interaction and Control
L'Interaction and Controlwithin the Digiparc Journey interface offer a dynamic and flexible experience for visualizing vehicle movements. This feature is specially designed to allow you to replay journeys in real time, while providing personalized control options tailored to your analysis needs
Play and Pause Mode
- Dynamic Playback: The playback mode allows you to replay the journey of a vehicle, visualizing its movements on the map, as if it were a film retracing its journey. This option is ideal for seeing precisely where a vehicle has gone, when it started, stopped or changed direction.
- Pause at any time: You can pause playback at any time. This is useful when you want to analyze a specific point in the journey, or observe a critical segment of travel without the vehicle continuing to move across the map.
- Resumption of the Journey: Once paused, playback can be resumed exactly where it left off, giving you complete control over journey exploration.
Speed Setting
- Playback Speed Control: You can adjust the journey playback speed according to your needs. This feature allows you to speed up the route if you want to have a quick overview of the journey, or on the contrary to slow down to observe the movements in more detail.
- Accelerated Speed: By increasing the speed, you can observe the entire path taken by the vehicle in a few seconds, which is particularly useful for examining longer periods or complex journeys.
- Speed Slows: By slowing down the speed, you have the opportunity to examine every movement of the vehicle, such as stops, changes of direction, or critical passages in certain sensitive areas.
Benefits of Playback Mode and Speed Setting
- Accurate and Flexible Analysis: Dynamic interaction with the journey allows for in-depth analysis, whether to check compliance with a planned route or to observe specific behaviors like unplanned stops or speeding.
- Saving Time: By adjusting the playback speed, you can quickly review long journeys or, conversely, slow down the display to understand a critical point. This makes the tool particularly useful in an audit or fleet management context.
Choosing Columns to Display in the Table
The Digiparc interface includes a dynamic and customizable table, allowing users to manage the information displayed effectively according to their specific needs. This feature is designed to optimize the clarity and relevance of the data presented.
Showing and Hiding Columns
- Choice of Columns: At the top left of the table, a drop-down menu allows you to select the columns you want to show or hide. Each column has a checkbox associated with it, which you can enable or disable depending on the data you want to see on screen. This allows only relevant information to be displayed, such as driver names, vehicle registrations, and fleet groups.
- Visualization Optimization: Thanks to this functionality, you can reduce the table to keep only the data essential to the current analysis. For example, you can decide to only display the fleet column and hide less necessary information like mileage or speed, to focus on managing vehicles belonging to a specific category.
Sorting and Search
- Intuitive Search: The table includes a powerful search bar that allows you to quickly find information by typing in the employee's name, fleet number, vehicle registration or any other attribute. This speeds up navigation, especially when you manage a large number of vehicles and employees.
- Automated Sorting: Each column can be sorted ascending or descending. Whether you want to sort vehicles alphabetically, by last recorded position, or by instantaneous speed, this feature helps structure information quickly for better readability.
Zoom, Navigation, and Satellite Mode Change
These features provide seamless interaction with the map, allowing users to adjust the display and customize how journeys are visualized.
Zoom functionality
- Zoom In and Out: Thanks to the zoom buttons (+ and -) integrated into the interface, you can enlarge or reduce the map according to your needs. By zooming in, you can accurately view specific areas, such as streets, intersections, or points of interest that vehicles pass through. Conversely, zooming out allows you to have a broader overview of the entire journey or several journeys simultaneously.
- Navigation with the Mouse Wheel: For added convenience, zoom can also be controlled using the mouse wheel, providing a quick and intuitive way to adjust the view depending on the situation.
- Dynamic Zoom on a Journey: When you select a specific route, the zoom automatically adjusts to center the map on the route, making it easier to analyze the route without having to manually adjust the view.
Navigation functionality
- Moving the Map: You can easily navigate the map by clicking and dragging to explore different parts of the screen. This allows you to travel long distances without losing sight of routes or areas of interest. This feature is particularly useful when you want to observe distant segments of the same route or navigate between multiple active vehicles on the map.
- Accurate Navigation between Key Points: The navigation functionality allows you to easily move from one area to another, focusing on specific locations such as stopping points or starting points, to get a more detailed analysis of vehicle movements.
Satellite Mode Change Feature
- Satellite Mode Display: The interface allows you to switch in one click between two display modes: the classic view (plan) and the satellite view. Satellite mode offers a realistic representation of journeys, with detailed images of the geographical areas crossed by vehicles. This mode is particularly useful for identifying specific geographic features, such as buildings, roads not marked on traditional maps, or difficult-to-access terrain.
- Classic View (Map): By switching between the two modes, users can switch from satellite mode to map mode, which presents a more simplified and schematic view of the map. This mode is often used to analyze journeys with less visual detail, making it easier to see the big picture.
