Distance Calculation
Distance Calculation
The functionality allowingsort distances traveled by vehiclesimplifies the analysis of mileage data recorded in the system. This button allows you to quickly view the vehicles that have covered the greatest or smallest distances over a given period.
Calculation of Distance Traveled
The distance traveled by a vehicle is automatically calculated from the mileage data provided, using the following formula:
Distance traveled (km)=End mileage−Start mileage\text{Distance traveled (km)} = \text{End mileage} - \text{Start mileage}Distance traveled (km)=End mileage−Start mileage
Example of Calculation:
- Starting mileage:10,000km
- End mileage:10,500km
- Distance traveled:10,500−10,000=500 km10,500 - 10,000 = 500 \, \text{km}10,500−10,000=500km
Using the Distance Sort Button
Access to the List of Consumption Data:
- Navigate to the moduleFuelin the system.
- Access the list of recorded consumption.
2. Activation of Distance Sorting:
- Click the buttonSort by Distance Traveledavailable in the interface.
3. Sorting Options:
- Ascending Order:Shows vehicles that have traveled the shortest distances at the top of the list.
- Descending order:Shows vehicles that have traveled the longest distances at the top of the list.
When the user clicks the buttonRecalculate Distances Traveled, the system instantly updates distance data for all vehicles. This process, fast and optimized, guarantees that the values displayed in the moduleFuelare accurate and up to date.
Benefits of the Feature
-
Quick Analysis:
Identify in one click the most used vehicles or those that have traveled unusual distances. -
Maintenance Planning:
Makes it easier to track mileage-based maintenance, like oil changes or tire changes. -
Cost Optimization:
Allows you to evaluate the distribution of trips and detect underused or overused vehicles.
