Bank Journal Filter
“Bank journal filter”is an essential component of the Banking Journal interface, located at the top of the screen. It allows users to personalize and limit the display of banking transactions based on specific criteria, thus facilitating targeted and efficient consultation of financial data. This functionality is particularly useful for isolating periods, accounts or transaction types, providing flexibility tailored to the needs of managers or accountants.
Year
- Role :This field allows you to select the year of transactions to display.
- Function:Restricts data to a specific year, making it easier to analyze over an annual period.
- Options:Drop-down list containing the years available in the system (for example, 2023, 2024, 2025).
Month
- Role :This field allows you to filter transactions by month, within the selected year.
- Function:Limits the display to a given month, useful for monthly reports or periodic checks.
- Options:List of months (January, February, March, etc.), depending on the year chosen.
Bank account
- Role :This field allows you to choose a specific bank account among those registered.
- Function:Filters transactions for a given account, ideal for managing multiple accounts.
- Options:Drop-down list of available bank accounts (for example, "Account 1", "Account 2").
Payment type
- Role :This field allows you to select the payment method for transactions.
- Function:Isolates transactions according to their payment method (check, transfer, etc.), useful for specific analyses.
- Options:List of supported payment methods, such as "Cheque", "Transfer", "Cash".
Sense
- Role :This field allows you to filter transactions according to their financial direction.
- Function:Separates transactions into debits (money out) or credits (money in), making flow analysis easier.
Options:
- "Credit": Displays deposits or money inflows.
- "Debit": Displays money withdrawals or outflows.
General Operation
Each column is a drop-down menu with a default value of "Choose", which means the filter is not active. By selecting an option in one or more columns, the bank journal data is automatically updated to reflect the chosen criteria. These filters can be combined to further refine the results.
