Import Trailers
The functionalityImportation of Trailersallows you to add multiple trailers to your database at once, by uploading a pre-formatted file, usually in Excel format. This feature is particularly useful for:
- The initial integration of trailers into your system.
- Massive update of trailer information.
Step 1: Download and prepare the canvas
Download the canvas: A template file is available for data entry. This file follows a precise format with predefined columns to ensure correct integration.
Required fields: Fields like trailer, vehicle, model, and start date are in red in the canvas. It is essential to respect the order of the columns so that the system can process the information without errors.
Tips for preparing the file :
- Enter only one value per cell.
- Make sure there are no empty lines.
- Respect the date (dd/mm/yyyy) and time (hh) formats.
Prerequisites:The file must follow the specific format defined by the system, including essential columns such as trailer and Vehicle.
Step 2: Load the file
- Once the file is completed, click onBrowseto select your trailer file.
- Click onFollowingto load the file into the system.
After loading, a summary displays the number of lines imported and the total number of lines present in the file.
Step 3: Check the imported data
- A summary table displays the records of imported trailers.
- The system also indicates the number of possible errors and the number of correct records.
- Details for each trailer (Vehicle, Trailer, Start Date, End Date, etc.) are visible, allowing final verification before import.
Step 4: Import trailers
- After checking the data, clickImportto validate and add the trailers to the database.
- A confirmation message tells you that the import was successful.
This functionality guarantees considerable time savings in managing mileage data and facilitates rapid and error-free integration.
