Import Mileage
The Mileage Import feature allows you to add multiple mileage records to your database at once, by uploading a pre-formatted file, usually in Excel format. This option is particularly useful for:
- Initial integration of mileage data for an entire fleet.
- The massive update of mileage information.
Step 1: Download and prepare the canvas
Downloading the canvas: A template file is available for download to enter the data. This file follows a precise format with predefined columns (see screenshot) to ensure correct integration.
- Respecting the order of columns: Required fields, such as vehicle, date and mileage, are indicated in red in the canvas. The order of these columns must be strictly followed so that the system processes the information without errors.
Tips for preparing the file :
- Enter only one value per cell.
- Make sure there are no empty lines.
- Respect the date and time formats (dd/mm/yyyy hh).
Prerequisites:The file must follow the specific format defined by the system, including essential columns such as registration number and mileage.
Step 2: Load the file
Once the file is completed, proceed as follows:
- Click onBrowseto select the mileage file.
- PressFollowingto load the data.
After loading, a summary is displayed, showing the number of lines imported as well as the total number of lines in the file.
Step 3: Check the imported data
Once the file is loaded:
- A summary table shows the imported mileage records.
- The system indicates the number of possible errors and the number of valid records.
- Details of each mileage, such as vehicle, date, mileage, user and reason, are visible for final verification.
Step 4: Import miles
After checking the data:
- Click onImportto validate and add mileage records to the database.
- A confirmation message will let you know that the import was successful.
This functionality guarantees considerable time savings in managing mileage data and facilitates rapid and error-free integration.
